Wayne State University

SEC in the university!

Where we got started, and where we’ve had our biggest impact - thanks to the help of student organizations, individual students, and faculty, Suraye Educational Collective was able to bring a slew of changes to Wayne State University that increase the representation of Assyrians; here’s what we’ve been able to accomplish!

  • Student Senate Resolutions passed to include new history and language courses

  • Declaration of April as Chaldean American Heritage Month

  • New “Shlama” Graphics added to the Student Center by Fall 2024

  • Several courses changed
